London, Ontario ---1/17/2014--- Hank Wong, 94, of London, Ontario is the last surviving member of an elite special forces unit of Chinese Canadian soldiers recruited by British intelligence near the end of World War 2 for a planned mission called Operation Oblivion which would send the men behind enemy lines in China to subvert the Japanese. The 13 Canadians made it as far as their staging point in Australia before the war ended with the American bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
